Our project is heavily affected by the corona crisis. All partners would currently carry out pilot projects to implement the JOB BRIDGE approach to validate the competences acquired in volunteering. Most of our planned pilot projects had to be suspended. And of course, we are not the only ones affected!

The 3-day course was successfully carried out in the premises of BUPNET on 11th-13th of February, 2020. Overall, 22 participants took part in the course – all trainers, facilitators and multipliers that work with volunteers in volunteer-based organisations, educational institutes or local bodies.
The Job Bridge partners will provide a three-day training course in Göttingen from 11th to 13th of February, 2020. It addresses representatives from volunteering organisations and adult education organisations welcoming volunteers and will enable them to implement competence-oriented approaches with volunteers and validate competences acquired in the voluntary activities.
The second partner meeting took place on 07./08.10.2019 in Rome. The main purpose was to define the topics of the training course for volunteering facilitators and to set up the curriculum for the three-day course that will take place in February 2020 in Göttingen.
What are the competences that you can acquire in voluntary activities – besides those that depend on the actual voluntary placement. This was one of the leading questions in the research phase. The partners built a first repository and consolidated it with extensive research activities. The resulting list contains 23 competencies. These are :
On 12./13. of February, 2019, the Job Bridge partners met in Paris for the kick-off meeting. The main purpose of the meeting was to get to know to each other and to plan in detail the first project activities.
Volunteering is an important means for (young) people to develop themselves, by building new relationships and gaining a whole set of life skills that can improve their employability. It serves to gather important experience in unknown fields, to develop social, personal and organisational competences.
