The Job Bridge partners will provide a three-day training course in Göttingen from 11th to 13th of February, 2020. It addresses representatives from volunteering organisations and adult education organisations welcoming volunteers and will enable them to implement competence-oriented approaches with volunteers and validate competences aquired in the voluntary activities.
Subsequently, all course participants will implement a learning project aimed to transfer and apply in practice the approach.
The second partner meeting took place on 07./08.10.2019 in Rome. The main purpose was to define the topics of the training course for volunteering facilitators and to set up the curriculum for the three-day course that will take place in February 2020 in Göttingen.

On 12./13. of February, 2019, the Job Bridge partners met in Paris for the kick-off meeting. The main purpose of the meeting was to get to know to each other and to plan in detail the first project activities.
The partners discussed in detail the approach of the stocktaking and needs analysis phase and brainstormed those competences that can be aquired in volunteering activities, on the one hand, and that are at the same time relevant for future employers. Currently the long list of competences is being revised and will be further consolidated by means of surveys and interviews in the partner countries.
Volunteering is an important means for (young) people to develop themselves, by building new relationships and gaining a whole set of life skills that can improve their employability. It serves to gather important experience in unknown fields, to develop social, personal and organisational competences.
The Job Bridge project – Job Bridge for Volunteers, is a two year project, which aims to offer the means for educational providers dealing with volunteers to assess their volunteers’ competences and to support their learning paths. Job Bridge will develop a fully-fledged user-centred approach for validating non-formal and informal learning processes in volunteering activities, including a well proven web-based documentation, both for learners and those supervising them, the “facilitators”.
On the 12-13 February 2019, the partnership will meet for the first time in Paris, France and set up the first steps for a comprehensive comparative research report.
