The story continues …

The project ended in February – but the products are of course still accessible and can and should be used. The training offer also remains – as a KA1 offer.

One important element of the Job Bridge approach is the training course addressing volunteering facilitators. The aim of the course is to bring about the concept of validation and competence oriented learning to facilitators of volunteering actions. It seeks to enable them to further develop their offers and activities into learning experiences that make a difference also in the career pathways of the volunteers.

The Job Bridge consortium has turned the course that was piloted in February 2020 with 22 participants in a KA1 course and has already scheduled three courses for autumn 2021 and early 2022 – in the hope that travel will be possible again then.

Virtual final event

The Job Bridge closing conference would have taken place in Brussels in early November. Now with all the restrictions, there is no physical meeting at all. Since there are many different events, we are happy to team up with REVEAL.

The main focus of the conference will be on creativity, innovation and digitalisation at the interface between education, volunteering and business,
We will provide more information within the next few weeks!

Last call – European Award

This is the last call – if you have not submitted your project yet, you still have the chance to do so  by 15th November 2020. We are looking forward to reading about your creative learning projects.

Due to the current situtuation we will not have the Award Ceremony in Brussels (Belgium) as planned. We will have a virtual event instead on 10./11.12.2020, where you will be given a slot to present your project.

In addition, we will make sure that your project gets a lot of visibility – it will be published in our newsletter and in our social media.  As a small consolation for the missed trip we will send the winners some prizes.

Webinars – Valuing competences in volunteering

Our project is heavily affected by the corona crisis. All partners would currently carry out pilot projects to implement the JOB BRIDGE approach to validate the competences acquired in volunteering. Most of our planned pilot projects had to be suspended. And of course, we are not the only ones affected!

How do volunteers cope with the COVID crisis? What do they learn in volunteering? How to value the competences that they acquire?

Find the answers by registering* to three Webinars organised by our Belgian project partner LLLPlatform!

*Registrations are compulsory in order to get the Zoom link.

Participate … maybe win a trip to Brussels

Are you working with volunteers? Do you support them in validating their competences acquired, or do you have an innovative idea?

If you answer positively to these questions, Job Bridge European Award is for you!

We want you to be creative and present your learning projects in an innovative way. All ideas should take into account competences’ dimensions. The two best contributions will be invited to the Award Ceremony in Brussels (Belgium) on 3rd November 2020.

Training course in Göttingen

The Job Bridge partners will provide a three-day training course in Göttingen from 11th to 13th of February, 2020. It addresses representatives from volunteering organisations and adult education organisations welcoming volunteers and will enable them to implement competence-oriented approaches with volunteers and validate competences acquired in the voluntary activities.
Subsequently, all course participants will implement a learning project aimed to transfer and apply in practice the approach.
